Inseparable is working to make sure that every American, without exception, gets the mental health care they need. This means pushing for reforms at the state, local, and federal level to fix our current, broken system. This year, we’re focusing our efforts on three key policy areas: 

• Increasing access to care 

We’re urging state legislatures to expand telehealth services to reach more rural communities and enact parity laws to require that all insurers follow mental health care standards.

• Investing in prevention and early prevention 

Our lawmakers need to put mental health services in every school, require all health education to include mental health, and ensure that educators are fully equipped with training and resources to support their students.

• Ending the criminalization of mental illness

We support a well-resourced national rollout of the new mental health crisis hotline 988 and the expansion of community-based mobile crisis intervention services.
