Help us pressure Congress to fund mental health.
Congress is gearing up to pass another round of stimulus funding, and it’s up to us to make sure they don’t leave out mental health — again. We are in crisis, and this pandemic is pushing us to the brink. Mental health resources like community clinics, addiction care, and suicide prevention programs can be the difference between life and death.
Last time, corporations received more than $500 billion in taxpayer money while mental health services that support essential resources like community clinics and suicide prevention programs received pennies on the dollar. But a recent survey found that 9 in 10 voters want elected officials to focus more on mental health. It’s time to shift our priorities in Washington, and put our health first.
