Tell IL Senators to pass the Healthcare Protection Act – let’s put power back into the hands of patients and their doctors!
The Healthcare Protection Act has already passed the House, and now we need the Senate to take action and do the same!
The Healthcare Protection Act would remove barriers to mental health services by banning prior authorization, which requires that consumers get permission from their insurance company to get treatment their doctor has prescribed, and eliminating ghost networks, or provider directories that include doctors who don’t exist or aren’t in network, among other important provisions. Passing this bill will make mental health treatment more accessible for those in need.
