Mental Health Screenings Advocate

I believe mental health screenings are essential to supporting families because it provides early detection for mental health disorders, which makes treatment more likely to prove effective.

One time my son’s teacher told me that he was being very quiet in class. I know he’s not the quiet type so I decided to keep a close watch on him and later discovered that he wasn’t feeling too well, we took him to the hospital that night for checkup and thankfully he’s okay now but I was grateful that his teacher brought it to my attention.

As a parent, my kids’ mental health is something I take very seriously because mental health disorders can influence their behaviors and impact their academic outcomes. I’m really grateful for programs that provide students with the opportunity to develop strategies to overcome mental health challenges. I can only imagine the effects of not having such programs and the negative impact it could have on our children.
